Let's Party

This is the second of the beginner Z-fold cards that I created for this months Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine. I was commission to produce a Masterclass on making Z-fold cards.

I used the Trimcraft Make a Wish 12” x 12” Paper Pad for all of the cards in the series, for this one I added a die cut sentiment and stamped sentiment from the Crafter’s Companion Sara Davies Birthday Party Signature Collection.

These cards really are quite simple to create, I produced a step by step guide for the magazine, make sure you check it out.

Delight in the Beauty

This is the third card in a series of four that I created for the July edition of Making Cards Magazine, I used the beautiful Petals & Parasols Collection from NitWit Collections.

I printed the topper several times so that I could fussy cut lots of decoupage layers.

The only things that I used that are not part of the Petals and Parasols collection were a couple of very old dies.

Floral Lattice

This is the third of six cards that I have published in this months Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine. I was commission to create a Masterclass on making Z-fold cards.

This is the second of the intermediate designs.

I used the Trimcraft Make a Wish 12” x 12” Paper Pad along with some dies from a couple of Sara Davies Signature Collections. The pink flowers are a Joy Crafts Stamp, I stamped them with pink ink and fussy cut them.

I really enjoyed making these cards, it's not something that I normally do - they are certainly a challenge to photograph.

Quick Cards Made Easy Bonus Papers

Have you picked up a copy of the new Quick Cards Made Easy magazine, there are some super bonus papers in this months edition.  I was invited to join the Reader Design team this month and was sent the papers in advance.  These are not the cards that I made for the actual magazine, these are a couple of extras that I created - I don't know if my card is in the magazine or on the website, I haven't managed to get hold of a copy yet!.

There are seven lovely picnic themed papers and a selection of sentiments.

All I have added is some pink card stock, everything else is from the bonus papers.

On this card I just stamped and fussy cut some additional flowers.

Birthday Bouquet

I made this card for my Mum to give to a very good friend, Mum always likes to give cards with flowers on them.

I used a decoupage topper from Craft Creations and some pretty papers from the Polkadoodles Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Spring Collection.

The sentiment is from the Ooh La La Creations The Shawn Jenkins Collection CD and I have recyled the little rose embellishments from an old Birthday card.

I decorated the inside to match and added a verse from a Crafter's Companion CD.

Decoupage Blooms

I have been having a good sort through all of the old kits that are gathering dust in my craft room and came across this Craft Creations kit.

The embossed card base is part of the kit along with the beautiful topper and decoupage layers.

I decided not to add a sentiment, I think this card is suitable for lots of occasions and will add a sentiment when I decide what I am going to use it for.

Indian Summer

It's time for a new challenge at the Crafty Purple Frog, the theme for the next month is Summer Time - this time around we would like you all to think about summer.  It could be the beach, the sun, the flowers or the colours whatever makes you feel summery.  The winner picked at random will receive a £10 voucher to spend in the Crafty Purple Frog shop.

I have used the beautiful Dovecraft Painted Blooms paper pads to create my card - the rich colours and beautiful blooms make me think of Indian Summers.

I used papers from the 6 x 6 paper pad for my background and the image is cut from the 12 x 12 paper pad.  I fussy cut the flower and bird and added them with foam pads for dimension.

Both of the sentiments are from the Painted Blooms Clear Stamp Set and the Adhesive Gems are also from the collection.

Make sure you pop over to the Crafty Purple Frog Challenge blog and join us for our Summer Time challenge and don't forget to visit the Crafty Purple Frog Shop to take a look at all of the fabulous crafting supplies that are available, grab a coffee and have a leisurely browse whilst you are there.

A Relaxing Day

I have used a topper and card stock from one of my many Hunkydory kits to create this card, I have lots of them and I am going to make a concerted effort to use them.

I have added an additional layer of purple card stock and silver Mirri card stock behind the topper, I also did the same to the sentiment which is from my stash.

I had to cut the base card stock to make it fit a 15 cm square card base so I used some ribbon to cover the join and added some more silver Mirri behind.

Little Ballerina

I decided to make another card using the beautiful Ballerina 6x6 Card Kit from Paper Creator.

I used the kit to create a side step card.  I printed the topper several times so that I could create some decoupage layers instead of pyramage layers.

The little ballet shoes and the sentiment are also part of the kit.
