Down in the Garden

I was honoured and delighted to be invited to Guest Design for the Joanna Sheen Challenge,  I absolutely love Joanna's products and the DT cards on the challenge blog are always stunning along with the entries.

This is the card I have made for this fortnights challenge - Down in the Garden.  I was reaching for my Jane Shasky - from the heart of the garden CD, but changed my mind and instead I have used one of the gorgeous images from Ivory Cats, this CD features the paintings of Lesley Anne Ivory:

The base card stock is also from Joanna's shop - unfortunately I think it is now discontinued.  The floral papers are from the CD and the spotty ones are from Bearly Mine Designs - I have inked the edges of the papers to tie them together.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

I used the same papers and die cut shape to decorate the inside of my card:

CARD RECIPE:

Image:  Joanna Sheen's Ivory Cats CD
Papers:  Joanna Sheen's Ivory Cats CD (floral), Bearly Mine Desings Mini Dots
Card Stock:  Joanna Sheen (discontinued)
Tools:  Spellbinders - Scalloped Circle, Standard Circle, Ribbon Banners
Die-namics - Butterfly
Embellishments:  ribbon, button, string and gems from stash
Sentiment:  LOTV - Simply Sophisticated

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The card base has been made from some more watercolour card stock and a simple stamped sentiment from the same set added - I told you it was CAS and it certainly is - I haven't even decorated this inside, but that could change!

Lap of Luxury

This is my entry for the CD Sunday Challenge this week - Feline Friends.  I have so many CD's with cat images I just didn't know which one to choose, I eventually decided on my Joanna Sheen Furry Friends, I just love Rachael Hale's fab images.

The image and the papers are from the CD and the sentiment is from a Jayne Netley Mayhew stamp also from Joanna Sheen.  I made the little knitting needles with some cocktail sticks and beads and the ribbon, raffia and buttons are all from my stash.  The only tool that I used was a Woodware Craft Collection corner punch on the sentiment.

Treat Yourself!

Good Evening my friends and blogging buddies and a very warm welcome to my latest followers.

I have made this card using some House Mouse Decoupage from Joanna Sheen, I had noticed a few food challenges around at the moment and thought this image would be ideal.

Once I had cut out the decoupage and put the card together, loosely following the sketch over at Flourishes, I really struggled with embellishments - it's quite a big image and nothing seemed to look right - in the end I gave up and just stuck with the one flower and the sentiment.

I left the inside quite plain as well.

Card Recipe:

Image:  Joanna Sheen - House Mouse Autumn Decoupage
Papers:  Bearly Mine Designs - Designer Extreme CD
Card Stock:  Crafter's Companion - Core'dinations
Tools:  X-cut - border punch

Sentiment:  Joanna Sheen - House Mouse Autumn Decoupage

Good afternoon, it's time for a new challenge at Crafting for all Seasons and our theme this fortnight is 'SCHOOL DAYS/FOR A CHILD'.

This week we have two fab sponsors:

Bugaboo Stamps
 Prize - 7 digital images

and

Prize - $10 gift card

I decided to use one of my own images again, I have so many it seems a shame not to use them. This is my card:

The image is Jeremy Popping Around, there are two versions of this image and they both have their own sentiment but I decided to use one of the new Crafty Pad Happy Birthday Sentiments because I wanted to make it look a little like a Sun.

Jeremy has been coloured with ProMarkers and a cloudy back ground has been created with distress inks and a mask.  I cut around one side of the image to add some extra interest to the card:

I have kept things relatively simple again, the papers are from Bearly Mine Designs and my embellishments are some card candy from my stash and some ric rac, also from my stash.

You can see that I have cut around the edge of the image a little better in this photograph:

This is the inside of my card that has been decorated to complement the front:

Trick or Treat

Good morning, I hope everyone is well and enjoying the new week. We have a new challenge for you at Bearly Mine Designs and this week the theme is - Anything but a Card.

With Halloween just around the corner I decided to make a Trick or Treat Bag this week using the fab new Bearly Mine Designs - Happy Hauntings Digi Set.

I used a Kraft gift bag as my base and some Core'dinations card stock to layer my papers onto.  I cut out the Trick or Treat with my Spellbinders Inverted Scalloped Circle die and layered it onto a Standard Circle.  The cobweb has been cut from one of the Happy Hauntings papers and the Spider is from my Polka Doodles - Sundae of Seasons CD.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

Our Sponsor this week is The Paper Shelter

and our lucky winner will receive a $20 Gift Certificate to spend in their store
